Charlotte Flair lost her SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Backlash and has taken hiatus from WWE since then. We noted earlier, that she is taking the break to marry her fiance, Andrade El Idolo. It seems the Queen’s big day is closer than initially thought.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted the pair has a wedding ceremony reportedly scheduled for this month. He said the couple intends to marry during the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. Somewhere between, May 27th and 30th.
Flair and Andrade started dating back in February 2019, and the two got engaged at the very start of 2020. The pair has been going strong since then, which has been very apparent from their social media posts.
Flair is out due to a storyline injury she suffered in an “I Quit” while fighting Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash. She was written off the TV so she could take time off to prepare for her big day.
Now that Flair’s wedding is set and she has got a break from the tiring WWE schedule she can take all the time needed to enjoy the ceremony. The couple is gearing up toward the next chapter of their lives, so it will be a while until we them on TV.
