With his dark eyes, his chiselled jaw, his grungy look and his touch of rebellion, Frank Dillane is fast being compared to a young Johnny Depp. The 24-year-old Brit, who played Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, stars in Fear the Walking Dead, which launched this summer.
Shortly after appearing in the new horror drama series, fans of the show noted the similarities between the Brit and the American. Photos of the acting duo surfaced on social media, comparing Frank and Johnny's looks, style and physical appearance.
Frank's latest on-screen persona has echoes of a nineties Johnny, who found box office success with Edward Scissorhands, What's Eating Gilbert Grape and Sleepy Hollow.

Frank's character Nick Clark is also reminiscent of Johnny's role in Secret Window, author Mort Rainey, who has an air of mystery around him.
London-born Frank spent part of his childhood in Brixton, before moving to East Sussex where he grew up in a creative environment. His mum Naomi manages a theatre company, while his father, BAFTA award-winning Stephen Dillane, has starred in various TV shows including Game of Thrones and The Real Thing.
Having passed his A-Level exams, Frank went on to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where he graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting.
He is perhaps most famous for playing a young Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but the fledgling actor will also appear in Viena and the Fantomes and In The Heart of the Sea, which are currently in post-production.

Frank may welcome the comparison to the three-time Oscar nominee. But Johnny, in fact, has absolutely no interest in picking up an Academy Award.
"I don't want to win one of those things ever, you know," the actor told the BBC while promoting his new film Black Mass. "I don't want to have to talk. They gave me one of those things, like a nomination, two or three times. A nomination is plenty."
"The idea of winning means that you're in competition with someone and I'm not in competition with anybody," Johnny added. "I just stick to my guns and do what I want to do. Sometimes people don't like it, but that's alright."
